What a delight! The day before we popped in for coffee & cake, and were so impressed we came back for brunch. I ordered sausage gravy & biscuits (with egg) & hubbie ordered fried brussel sprouts with nuts, as both these sounded unusual. (Biscuits are cookies in the UK ) Both were rich, flavoursome and delicious, and it seems the biscuits are similar to what we’d call scones back home. Also the gravy was more like what we’d call a sauce: spicy and tasty. (Gravy would be made from stock in the UK - this was creamy and spicy) The cafe itself is light and airy in spite of being painted charcoal black, with one side opening to the street. Coffee was so good, we bought a bag to take away... Our favourite spot to eat in Canada thus far!

We just ordered a coffee. Chill vibe. Enough sockets to plug in your electronics. Good coffee (European speaking ;)). Different types of milk, so also good for vegans.

We had a delicious brunch for a family get-together. The menu is well-curated -- there was something for everyone, and each dish was excellent. Friendly, attentive service throughout.

What a fantastic spot in the centre of Windsor, N.S.! I was so impressed by the food, coffee and friendly service that I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Windsor. I had a truly exceptional breakfast sandwich this morning with a perfectly cooked egg, cheddar cheese, a beautiful piece of peameal bacon, pickles and spicy mayonnaise. It was so delicious and served moments after I ordered it. I enjoyed it with an artfully-made cortado, too. I had stopped in based on a friend’s recommendation of their superlative butter tarts and cinnamon rolls. Fortunately, they were also available and I took some of them to go as I left. They were of the same calibre as my breakfast sandwich and certainly worth stopping for if you happen to be near Windsor.

This is my new favorite cafe to visit when I feel like leaving town to get a change of scenery (if I lived in Windsor, I'd go all the time). The staff are very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. Also - on Fridays and Saturdays (at the time of writing this review) it turns into a restaurant with table service in the evening! My friends and I both had the chicken dinner gnocchi and had to go back a second time just in case the menu changes because it was so good. If you like good food and good coffee, you need to go here!

This is just what Windsor needed! Offering deliciously simple food options and hot drinks as well as local crafted wines, ciders, etc., The space is welcoming and cozy and is already becoming a favourite meeting and eating spot in just its first few weeks in operation. Update: After a day in the Valley and on our way back to the city we decided to pop in to check out their evening supper specials when the cafe switches to a restaurant. We are SO HAPPY we did! We both had the Chicken Dinner Gnocchi with green beans and croissant croutons and it was heavenly! We also ordered the dessert special to share which was equally amazing - a hazelnut-y, chocolate-y masterpiece. I ordered the Wings & Pickles to go for my partner who was at home and he loved it too (tossed in a hot Valentina sauce and the homemade dill pickles were brined with peppers too, I suspect). Definitely add Gerrish & Gray to your must-dine list in Nova Scotia!

Awesome little cafe caught us by surprise. We timed it just right and they weren't busy but it can get crazy in there. Good was awesome and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go again when we're in the area.

Wow, with a capital ‘W’. What a fantastic brunch at Gerrish & Grey Cafe. This newer restaurant is an upscale and modern cafe, that the Valley is so lucky to have. We came for one of many meals that we’ve eaten here, but today was a highlight. While chatting over drinks in great ambiance and atmosphere, our server informed us that our meal order, by error, hadn’t been submitted to the kitchen. We were immediately told that our food was comped, no questions asked. It’s so rare to find a restaurant these days which is dedicated to retaining customers, even at a cost to themselves. Bottom line, the food is high class, incredibly tasty, and the staff are wonderful. I challenge you to find better, anywhere.
